The Earth is Flat

Standard

Today’s NaPoWriMo prompt is to write a ten-line poem in which each line is a lie. I decided to make it a little devious…but don’t worry: no children were harmed in the writing of this poem.

The earth is flat, I kid you not
Bubbles make your fingers rot
And fibbing makes your tongue a knot

You are not a human, not at all
But I can grow so very tall
Like the genie in your soccer ball

The bogey man is made of pie
Broccoli will rain from the sky
The next time that you start to cry

I have never, ever, told a lie
